Is there any easy to follow cook-book material for creating OTP applications and releases.

I feel I have read extensively and I'm still confused.

Have you looked at this link: http://www.erlang.org/doc/design_principles/applications.html#7

? In case you have, maybe i could help if you were more specific of what you are confused about Smile

Other then that there is a tutorial here on trap exit. I haven't read it myself, I only know that you have to download a tool of some sort to make things "easier" but I don't know how well it it written. I bet it is good though and that it will give you a lot of answers so you should read it.

link is: http://www.trapexit.org/Building_An_OTP_Application

Good luck!

Martin Logan contributed an excellent tutorial in the trapexit wiki: http://www.trapexit.org/Building_An_OTP_Application

Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, post them here.

Hilsen,
Anders
