Hi Matthias & Ben -

Thanks very much for your replies - I had been pulled off on to another task for a little while last week so apologies for the late response.

I did try 'toning down' the load a bit - introducing a limit akin to that in the examples did resolve the Socket Exceptions I had previously described. I have also tried the same code against version 1.1.0-alpha and have had no recurrence of the problem even without limits in place.

Thanks & regards

jgw

Excellent. Let us know if you make any other interesting discoveries.

Matthias.

Just a longshot but what chipset does your NIC have? Is this perhaps
an Nvidia nforce chipset on board?

I ask this because I had a problem with jumbo frames and the forcedeth
driver with the 2.6.18 kernel. I got around this by updating to the
2.6.21 kernel, but as I was googling it, I gathered that you can also
download the latest driver from Nvidia to patch that kernel series.

Was this problem provokable with the 1.1.0 rabbit release?

HTH,

Ben
