Fiddled around with emacs.el to get it to start interactive yaws instead of an ordinary erl shell in a buffer and since I couldn't find any info on it anywhere else I thought I'd post my solution here. It's nothing advanced, but I'm no elisp-hacker so figuring out how to get it to work correctly took a while.
The changes are: start yaws -i instead of erl, pass erl options in correct order as --erlarg option and add en extra linefeed before trying to compile (or it will hang waiting for a prompt). Diff below.
