<  Ejabberd mailing list  ~  Error registering admin

Hi,

according to the manual if I try to register an admin account, I get an
error:

[root@BSDHelmut ~]# ejabberdctl ejabberd@localhost register admin
example.org password
RPC failed on the node ejabberd@localhost: nodedown

=ERROR REPORT==== 26-Jul-2006::11:01:50 ===
Error in process <0.34.0> on node 'ejabberdctl@BSDHelmut' with exit value:
{badarg,[{erlang,list_to_existing_atom,["ejabberd@BSDHelmut"]},{dist_util,recv_challenge,1},{dist_util,handshake_we_started,1}]}

[root@BSDHelmut ~]#

I get the same error trying to start/stop/status the service:

[root@BSDHelmut ~]# ejabberdctl ejabberd@localhost status
RPC failed on the node ejabberd@localhost: nodedown

What did I miss?

The sockets are listening:
[root@BSDHelmut ~]# sockstat -4 | grep ejabberd
