Hello List,
I have recently put a new ejabberd server online to replace an old
jabberd2 install. One of the big draws for me is the ability to
virtually host many domains on one jabber server instance. I use
LDAP to store all my user data and so I want to connect ejabberd back
to LDAP.
The problem I have run into is that I store my user IDs as
"mail=user@domain1.com,ou=Customers...", all in one flat OU. The
authentication layer however only seems to get passed the node part
of the JID. I would need the node + realm to be able to match the
DN. While I can configure a different authentication backend for
each domain, I am unable to specify a realm to be appended to the
user's ID / JID node.
I should also note that I'm *not* trying to authenticate users like
this:
user@domain1.com@alkaloid.net
as that's clearly invalid. However it would be nice if the
authentication layer could be aware of the realm being authenticated
to and use that in its matching logic.
I hope my question is clear. Is there any way to make ejabberd do this?
Thanks for any suggestions.
/BAK/
