- How does Erlang interface with other languages than C? For example to use Fortran
legacy code. It could be done by using a C layer in-between, but maybe there
is a more direct approach...
- I was looking at other concurrent programming environments/languages (mostly
Mozart/Oz) and am appreciating the more the simple and clean ways of Erlang.
But there are more advanced features that are complex to handle directly, and
extending the language might help in that direction. How does the thought of
using Erlang as a "assembler" language, most like Lisp (and C) are for so many
other higher-level languages, sound? Is it an heresy? hope not...
enjoy the summer!

Well, I think C (C++ ?) and Java is the only languages supported by IC.

And with Erlang comes the Orber application that is a CORBA compliant
Object Request Brokers (ORB), which provides CORBA functionality in
an Erlang environment. So if your "other" language has and IDL compiler
etc they can always use the Orber.
