What is the best codec to compress my DVD and 3D Blu-ray collection PS3 playable video?
Do all PS3 models play 3D Blu-rays? Yes. All models of PS3 play 3D Blu-ray disks. Older models need a firmware update in order to support 3D technology. You’re suggested to always keep your PS3 updated with latest update to make sure it works properly with new release Blu-ray Discs. If you don’t want to face the risk of a firmware update failure, or prefer streaming media than physical DVDs and Blu-ray Discs, just grab a 3D Blu-ray Ripper, which will rip all your Blu-ray Discs and DVDs into fair videos that will stream to PS3 and Xbox. Here’re some ways you rip 3D Blu-rays into a format that will play well on PS3.
A. How to rip Blu-ray to PS3 1080p video in 2D (3D to 3D downscaling/2D to 2D compressing)
Step 1: Run Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper, click “BD/DVD ROM” to load movie from BD-ROM/DVD-ROM. Blu-ray ISO image is also supported file type.
Step 2: Select output format for PS3. Click on the drop-down list at the opposite side of “Format”, and then choose “PSP/PS3” > “PS3 Video(1080P) MPEG-4(*.mp4)” format. If you prefer ripping Blu-ray into 720p video, choose “PS3 Video(720P) MPEG-4(*.mp4)” instead.
Step 3: Click “Convert” button to start ripping Blu-ray to 1080p video for PS3 streaming.
Once the ripping task is finished, you can click “Open” button at the bottom of the main interface to get the output HD 1080p file. You can then setup DLNA server (e.g. Tiversity) on computer for streaming video to PS3.
B.How to Rip Blu-ray to PS3 video in 3D (3D to 3D compressing/2D to 3D upscaling)
If you’d like to preserve 3D effect when ripping 3D Blu-ray for PS3 streaming, or up-convert 2D Blu-ray into 3D video, set 3D effect output before choosing an output format. Here’s how-to:
Step 1. When the Blu-ray is loaded, choose main movie.
Step 2. Press the “Edit” icon.
Step 3. Click on “3D” button, and set 3D type(red-blue/red-green) and image depth. Then click OK.
Step 4. Back to the main interface and go on ripping Blu-ray movie to PS3 optimized format with 3D Blu-ray to PS3 Converter.
C.How to Rip Blu-ray to PS3 video with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio
If you have surround sound system and used to have PS3 deliver AC3 5.1 sound to it when watching movies, it would be better for you to rip Blu-ray with AC3 5.1 sound preserved. This is easy- just set “PS3 Video AC3 5.1 (*.avi)” format and the smart 3D Blu-ray ripper will preserve Dolby Digital 6 channels audio when ripping Blu-ray for PS3.

I am trying to make a simple music video using Avid Xpress, but the only clips I have are .mp4's amd .wmv's are there any ways to convert mp4 to mov mac for free? |
