Here it is. I can get yaws to run ok except for SSL.
It crashes when trying to start with SSL though (config is as per the yaws.conf template)
=ERROR REPORT==== 17-May-2008::19:47:51 ===
FATAL: {badmatch,{error,no_ssl_server}}

=INFO REPORT==== 17-May-2008::19:47:51 ===
application: yaws
exited: {shutdown,{yaws_app,start,[normal,[]]}}
type: permanent

Crash dump was written to: erl_crash.dump
Kernel pid terminated (application_controller) ({application_start_failure,yaws,{shutdown,{yaws_app,start,[normal,[]]}}})
I am not sure what is missing.
I have a simple Yaws On Windows (YOW!) readme, but I'm stuck on the SSL section. Any idea about how to make this work?
Thanks

first step in troubleshooting ssl/erl is at the normal erlang prompt:
[klacke@krom]~ > erl
Erlang (BEAM) emulator version 5.6.1 [source] [smp:2] [async-threads:0] [kernel-poll:false]
Eshell V5.6.1 (abort with ^G)
1> ssl:start().
ok

That's good to hear.
There is one change that I forgot to mention, which you might consider out of scope I added more distinctive verbiage to the (5?) different "expected directory at line X" messages to make diagnosing problems quicker. I found it helpful, but if you think it's not appropriate, please remove it.
BTW, ssl:start() does not crash.
>set path=c:\erl5.6.2;%path%
>erl
Eshell V5.6.2 (abort with ^G)
1> ssl:start().
ok

I am aware of how difficult it is to debug a problem long distance, but at this point I can barely read Erlang. So any help would be appreciated. I only plan to develop on Windows, so it's not critical, but I would like to put forth a reasonable effort at a readme file.
Thanks

If you post your cygwin readme I'll see if can take a look at the ssl problem.
