Hi List!
I run one node with -detached flag (so it automagically translates into -noshell -noinput). My experience is that this node is not available for remote shells. What are the ways to launch a node as a deamon but allowing to connect a remote shell?

The -detached flag does not keep you from using remote shell. Perhaps there is something else amiss? Are the nodes usin the same cookie?

Sry to revive an old post.
I have a remote erlang node started with the -detached flag to which i can connect with -remsh
For example:
erl -sname p -setcookie cookie -remsh remote@machine
How can i quit this remote shell safely without stopping the remote node (go back into -detached mode) ? |

Using ^C should not shut down the remote node, only leave the remote shell. You can as well use ^G (h for help).

| In the shell, start the server and test. You should get a response back formatted according to your io:format line. After you’ve tested this do not exit the Erlang shell. We will use it again in a minute. |
