I have download yaws_1.73.tar.gz.
According to the README file given, I followed all the steps.
First I did ./configure with root user permission so that it will be installed in /usr/local/bin/
Then gave make. Till this step everything worked fine. But after I gave make install, it is failing.

I've been installing yaws since I don't know what version. 1.77 (the most recent) works great. Try it and post your results.
PS: The error you've posted suggested that there is/was a packaging error and I doubt that. What are the particulars? Your OS? The Version of the OS? Which version of Erlang? |
