Hi everybody,
I am writing a feed-Aggregator using iBrowse and hope to get some help here.
The aggregator was testet on different vm-configurations and the throughput seems to have a gap when neither cpu- nor ram-ressources are exceeded.
The difference in the throughput between 2cores/8GB and 4cores/16GB is ca. 16/22 K requests per minute.
The Rss- and Atom- feeds are on another virtual machine on the same host, so network should be no issue.
Settings for host/port pairs are: 10 processes, no queue.
Any queue length above 1 lead to errors in the asynchrone answer from iBrowse (maybe a race-condition?).
Tuning these parameters didn't get me much improvement.
All request are made using asynchronous i/o.
Network was tested using bing and i tuned a little on kernel parameters for connection buffer sizes...
I would be very happy if someone had an idea what the problem might be/where else i could look.
