Trapexit's front page will get a complete overhaul and be filled with dynamic data. The new front page will include news, the latest forum entries, and the latest mailing list entries (from erlang-questions at erlang.org), RSS feeds and Wiki spot lights. We will have to experiment with the layout. What we have in mind contains:

Latest news (that is, latest post in 'News' forum)
RSS Feeds (here *and* in Menu?) Need to play with layout
Latest Erlang/OTP forum entries (mailing list bridge forums excluded)
Latest mail list entries (yaws, jabber, erlang.org)
New slogan, possibly your "Erlang Community Website"
    Meta tags
"What is Erlang?" - brief introduction with a link to documentation with more information.
    Title should include 'Erlang'
Random rotating "Did you know...” box
    Random rotating code snippet
    New logo

Take the random rotating things from special wiki pages, that way, anybody can add new stuff to them.

Our thought was to have a list of the latest additions. So if some one ads a page, it will be shown on the front. Random can be a bit tricky if they are not selected by a human...

Well, I imagined a special wiki page with a list of code snippets, for example. Then one could just randomize over that list every day, or rather every page view.

For the code, that is a good idea. I would however like to see the rotating pages being handpicked and locked due to vandalism.
